iRevert has been developed as a solution to downgrade all ios 8 and ios 7 devices since apple stopped signing them, it can do this without you having to manually backup shsh blobs or having to find a working jailbreak to do so. How does it work? This downgrader duplicates all shsh blobs, tokens and system data and then rewrites it all on to a previous iOS version on your phone so that to the apple icloud or itunes it looks like you have always been using that iOS version. This process can take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes depending on the device you have and the version you are using. Common Questions Does this software use iTunes to downgrade my device? No this is a standalone client and does not require any use of iTunes to downgrade Apple devices. Do i need to jailbreak my phone to be able to use this? No you do not need a jail broken phone to revert back with this Can this software brick my phone? No because backups are stored during any write session to prevent this, if there’s any issues during installation it will write the original files back onto the iPhone, iPod or iPad. There are no reports of devices being bricked using this software. Do i need to be a tech geek to use this? Not really, this program was developed to be as user friendly as possible requiring minimal tech know how. How can i downgrade if i have a jail broken device? You will need Jloop if you have a jail broken device but we always recommend completely resetting your phone to factory default as downgrading a jail broken phone is a more complicated process than if it wasn’t. If you still don’t want to reset your phone to factory then see the tutorial at the bottom for how you can downgrade from ios 8 to ios 7 with jailbreak. |
